Othrys is a boutique asset manager, focused on sourcing and delivering profitable investment strategies in the retail sector.
Othrys focuses on retail investments: high street shops, shopping malls or retail units. Mixed use properties are also considered if their retail component is a key driver of returns.
With a minimum investment value of 10m€ we invest either in single assets or multiple unit portfolios, for example, through sale and lease backs.
Our sourcing also identifies retail properties that offer an opportunity to enhance value in the short to mid-term through intensive asset management. Typically these assets require repositioning either through extensions, additional capital expenditure, leasing of vacant space, or through optimising their retailer offer.
Each investment opportunity is first analysed in the context of its catchment area, its demographic indicators, its attractivity, local footfall data, and its competitive environment. We are looking for down town and out of town locations with strong retail fundamentals.
We look for high quality retail assets in robust urban locations, selected to provide reliable income streams with long-term growth potential. Core + properties include some additional income potential through active management.

Our existing portfolio under management provides us with valuable exposure to the local markets. With our ‘hands on’ approach to asset management, we maintain excellent contacts with retailers, local authorities and market players.
We believe that letting is a fundamental part of any successful asset management strategy in the sector, and we are resourced to undertake such activities in house. When necessary we supplement our team with input from first class service providers at local and national level.
The team combines long-standing relationships with leading national and international retailers with an in-depth knowledge of retailers’ requirements and a large database of their historic sales performance. Based on this expertise the team is able to underwrite acquisitions and asset plans and to analyse future trends that will impact the retail market in France.
Arnaud joined Othrys from Metro Properties, having effected the sale & lease back of the Metro Portfolio to a club of institutional investors in 2013. Before 2010, Arnaud was Fund Manager at BNP Paribas Reim in London when he had responsibility for Pan European real estate investment and asset management. Arnaud started his career in real estate development and graduated from Toulouse Business School with a master’s degree in real estate, and is a member of the RICS.
During his career Arnaud has developed multiple skills within different real estate sectors. The broad range of his experience allows him to propose alternative strategies and deliver superior performance to investors.
Frédéric joined Othrys from Grosvenor Fund Management Continental Europe where he was responsible for the coverage of France, Belgium and the Nordics. He has high-level contacts with real estate owners and managers, institutional investors, occupiers, financial institutions and the government sector. He started his career within the French real estate finance team of Eurohypo Bank. Frederic has a masters degree in corporate finance and real estate from Dauphine University.
Frederic is known for his knowledge and experience of the French commercial real estate markets, where over the last 10 years he has built a successful track record as both an investor and asset manager.
Julien joined Othrys from Mercialys where he was the executive director responsible for leasing in France. His team was responsible for the management of more than 2,000 leases producing a net income greater than €130mo. Prior to Mercialys, Julien worked for Unibail and Darty.
Julien graduated from the EDHEC business school.
Julien has a unique knowledge of French retailers and has built a reputation as one of the foremost leasing directors in the French retail market.
Sylvain joined Othrys from Mercialys where he was an asset manager. He was responsible of the asset management of 10 shopping centres located throughout France for which he realised separate capital expenditure and development programmes. Prior to Mercialys, he worked as an investment analyst for the LRE real estate fund (Groupe Arnault/LVMH). Sylvain graduated from l’Ecole Centrale Paris (ECP), a leading French civil engineering school.
Nathalie is responsible for Othrys’s corporate management, including administration, accounting and IT as well as providing daily support to the operational team. Nathalie joined Othrys from Metro Properties, and previously worked for Banimmo. She has a master’s degree in History from Paris X University.
